A Fabric of Incredible Softness

After years of scouring every corner of Cairo’s fabric market for THE muslin — the same one used by our niqab supplier — Oummi Abi Moi is thrilled to announce that we now produce this fabric in-house to feature it in our own collections!

Among the first creations by OAM in this sublime fabric is the Melissa Cape. We love layering for greater coverage (especially in winter!) and wanted to design a discreet cap to help conceal more of the face.

The fabric used for this piece is the softest and most pleasant muslin, wonderfully fluid and lightweight. Its quality is highly praised by our customers who wear the niqab or prefer XXL maxi hijabs.

An Original and Practical Creation

Crafted from our new Egyptian Premium Muslin, the Melissa Cape is perfect for layering this winter. It can be worn over all kinds of khimars, though we especially love pairing it with our Wijden Khimar. Its rounded cut at the front and back makes it ideal for rounded-shaped khimars.

The Melissa Cape can be worn in several ways:

• Cap adjusted to hide the eyes.
• Cap lifted to free the gaze.
• Open at the front, covering only the shoulders.
• Closed at the front, also covering the chest.

It features a discreet closure system with scratch fasteners sewn inside the cape.

Attention: The Premium Muslin colors are not exactly tone-on-tone with the Classic Wool Peach but are nearly tone-on-tone with the Premium Wool Peach!
